Coming soon to an alley near you... looking for all new feeding/ harvesting grounds and all body parts and types....wanted dead or alive ......see you soon.
We would like to thank everyone that comes through E.L. Cravin’s Haunted Funeral Parlor each year. This event is only possible through the hard work of about 40 plus volunteers. When you participate in this event, you are helping fund lots of projects and activities within the City of Blackshear. Each year the Haunted Parlor gets longer and changes are added, so even if you have already attended make sure you come again. The proceeds raised from this project go to the local nonprofit, Better Hometown Blackshear Inc. (The City’s Main Street Program). The money is managed by a board of local business owners and community leaders that care about the people and the future of this community. Here are a few of the programs and projects that have benefitted from proceeds raised: The Sycamore Tree, The movie screen and equipment for free movies in the park and at the Library, Golf cart for Police Department, Christmas and Fall Decorations for Downtown Blackshear, Community Day of Compassion, Downtown Trick or Treat, Summer in the City Festival, Pecan Fest, Christmas in the Park, Trees trimmed, Downtown Community Markets, The Blackshear Geo-Tour, Community Pep Rally, Christmas and Homecoming Parades, Prize Monies, Gourd Head Decorations and Contests and much more. The board members are as follows: Tracy Rediger (President), Peggy Wall(Secretary), Adam Hart(Treasurer), Brent Waters, Tom Davis Tatum Crosby, Mitch Hall, and Sam Sports. If you see these individuals let them know you appreciate what they do. Many times their hard work goes unnoticed, but its people like this that makes our community a better place to live work and play.
